Blob cursor

A gooey blob chases the pointer with droplets that stretch behind it and merge back; it swells over links and buttons, squashes on press and follows keyboard focus.

What it is for

Over a hero or portfolio section as a playful pointer follower (wraps its content; add global to cover the page).

Accessibility

  • Keyboard. Components in the kit are written to be reached and used with the keyboard. Try it: press Tab inside the preview.
  • Reduced motion. With prefers-reduced-motion on, animation settles to its finished state at once.
  • Touch. Pointer-follow effects are skipped on touch screens; controls stay finger-sized.
