Dashboard sidebar

A floating app sidebar that collapses to an icon rail (labels fade and shrink), with a filterable quick search (press /), counter badges, an account menu at the top and a team menu at the bottom.

Left rail of an admin app (fills its parent's height).

Accessibility

  • Keyboard. Components in the kit are written to be reached and used with the keyboard. Try it: press Tab inside the preview.
  • Reduced motion. With prefers-reduced-motion on, animation settles to its finished state at once.
  • Touch. Pointer-follow effects are skipped on touch screens; controls stay finger-sized.
