Sling button

A button you pull back like a slingshot and release: it stretches, springs back and flings a spark the other way; click, Enter and Space fire a short sling.

What it is for

Playful primary actions such as send, boost or launch (inline-flex; the button needs about 60px of free space around it for the pull).

  • Keyboard. Components in the kit are written to be reached and used with the keyboard. Try it: press Tab inside the preview.
  • Reduced motion. With prefers-reduced-motion on, animation settles to its finished state at once.
  • Touch. Pointer-follow effects are skipped on touch screens; controls stay finger-sized.
